A bushy shrub that remains small and is sometimes cultivated on a stem. It then forms a narrow oval crown. Height 3 - 5 (6) m. The small narrow leaves have a sharply serrated edge and grow to 7 - 8 cm in size. They emerge with a bronze colour that later turns green. They become orange with red tints in the autumn. The tree produces many carmine-pink flowers from late March to mid-April. The flowers are in twos and threes and are single. They are approximately 2 - 2.5 cm in diameter. An ornamental Prunus for private and public gardens. This is a tree for a sunny sheltered site. Winter hardiness zone: 6a
Good news: the vast majority of our range is immediately available from container stock. A few varieties that are only available as field-grown trees will be delivered from November 2026 onwards. We will let you know in advance per order which trees will arrive when.
