Juglans regia 'Franquette' is a vigorous and strong grower with an ascending, oval-round, open crown and a height of 20 - 30 m. The trunk, branches and leaves are identical to those of the species. After the emergence of the leaves the male and female flowers appear. They appear roughly simultaneously so that pollination is possible. But for effective pollination it is recommended that another type be planted close by, for example J. 'Buccaneer'. 'Franquette' bears fruit at an early age. Winter hardiness zone: 5b
