Vigorous, sturdy shrub to small tree about 3 m high and 4 m broad, with a broad, fan-shaped growth pattern and a semi-open crown. In favourable situations, the leaf can turn yellow to dark orange in autumn. Blossoms around January/February with yellowish orange flowers over 3.5 cm in size. The flowers are slightly fragrant. The plant never blossoms very profusely, but the flowers can persist for several weeks. Was first marketed with the name ‘Orange’, but as this is not a valid cultivar name it was changed to ‘Orange Beauty’ 10 years later. Sometimes also encountered under the synonym ‘August Lamken’.
