Mature trees can attain a height of 15 - 18 m. The straight trunk is brown grey. The leaf is shiny dark green and persists long in autumn. 'Patmore' has a yellow autumn colour. After the flowering there is no seed production. Suitable as an avenue tree for wide road profiles. Prefers well-drained soil and tolerates drought. Winter hardiness zone: 3
