Moderately fast growing tree with a straight central leader and broad oval crown. The tree branches well when young, producing a dense crown at an early stage. Mature trees are conspicuous for their regularly formed crown, which is clearly more regular than typical for the species. The leaves are fresh, dark green. The tree was selected (partly) for its significantly lower susceptibility to red spider mite. This means the leaf stays fresh green until autumn. Good street, avenue and park tree. Also highly suitable for use in open spaces. Prefers fertile, fairly moist soil: cannot tolerate paved surfaces. Tolerates a lot of wind.
