Fraxinus excelsior 'Grift' has a trunk that is straight as an arrow with a nice upright main branch and the habit is similar to that of 'Eureka'. Has a wide pyramidal to conical crown with a height of circa 20 m. The mat, odd-pinnate leaf has a lighter colour than of the 'Westhof's Glorie' and has 3 - 4 pairs and a relatively large tip leaf. Generates only few fruits. 'Grift' is a healthy cultivar that can be applied in road and street planting. It prefers nutritive, moist soil. Winter hardiness zone: 4
